Background to Partnership with ITIL Weblog
7C Alliance has recently been seeking definitive sources of ITIL study materials and reliable ATOs for members to use in one of it’s latest Skills Knowledge Improvement Programme (SKIP) projects.

As there are a lot of different packages and ATOs out there, and few sites online that bring training products and services together to compare what each of them has to offer, 7C has recognised the need for there to be one site online that is clearly recognisable as a creditable source for all things ITIL and that will assist IT contractors in doing work where ITIL is applicable. This includes getting certification in understanding of it as well as tools and tips that can be shared amongst 7C Alliance members.

ITIL Weblog: 7C Alliance’s site for Members’ Best Practice in ITIL
http://itil.healthcheck-online.com/ , aka the ITIL Weblog, is the closest to a site that meets the four key needs that 7C Alliance members indicated that they need met for helping them with work in ITIL as well as presenting or promoting their expertise with it. Matt Miller, the Owner and Director of 7C Alliance, has therefore approached the owner of the ITIL Weblog, M. René Bladder, and come to an agreement that will allow 7C Alliance members to be made aware of ITIL tools and training solutions BEFORE they are placed on the ITIL Weblog. This is so that both the value and validity of these can be discussed before details are published on the site. 7C Alliance members will also be allowed to make comments that will contribute to improving the structure of the site so that it better meets their needs for ITIL-reliant contract work.

M. René Bladder has also agreed to become a Premium Member of 7C Alliance with a view to Matt and other 7C Alliance members helping to build and promote his expertise as an authority in application of ITIL.

Contributions to 7C Alliance and the ITIL Weblog
To participate in 7C Alliance projects that identify and facilitate knowledge in ITIL, as well as contribute your own tools or profiles for consideration in being published on the ITIL Weblog, you need to be a minimum of an Associate Member of 7C Alliance. Please join 7C Alliance by visiting the Contact Us page, or Services page for further details about 7C Alliance and bases for membership.

Contributions to the ITIL Weblog’s “The Cutting Edge of ITIL”
While the ITIL Weblog remains independent, it has been agreed that the Cutting Edge brand will be reserved for articles from 7C Alliance members. To present an article for consideration in the Cutting Edge of ITIL, it is necessary to be a Premium Member of 7C Alliance – where your status and recognition as an authority will be assured by suitable references and achievements, and also inducted in a way that promotes you to key business and professional contacts relevant to status and needs for work as an authority.

All 7C Alliance articles will be branded with a closing tag for 7C Alliance as well as one linked with the author’s membership status and personal profile on either LinkedIn or 7C Alliance Blog ID – thereby giving them prominence beyond the ITIL site and enabling them to be readily found as an ITIL expert or generally as part of the global promotion of 7C Alliance site and its members that will be commenced in the near future.
