In conjunction with the regular LITCAM Monthly Meetup on Thursday, 8th October, a leading 7C Alliance member who specialises in Business Information Security will give a talk on what changes need to be made to a businesses’ web-site if it is to fully comply with e-commerce regulations and related legal obligations.

Overview of The Talk
The UK government e-commerce regulations, in particular, not only affect what is presented on any web-site that is intended for trading purposes – but also, in complying with them, potentially put the business itself at risk if not implemented carefully

This talk will make attendees aware of the commercial implications of the regulations – noting that Web and e-commerce site designers need to consider these as well as other commercial laws and policies, as much as effective Web design, development and support needed for supporting what the business needs for itself alone.

The speaker is able to provide a mix of business and para-legal knowledge and experience on request to assist those interested in taking advice from this talk further. This assistance is available directly and independently of 7C Alliance (as is the case with all 7C Alliance members).

Who May Want to Attend
This is a very special and important presentation that will interest the following sorts of people:

– IT contractors capturing business requirements for the Web and e-commerce

– Web-site and E-Commerce Operations managers

– UK-based small-to-medium (SME) businesses using the Web to promote or sell themselves

Following the event, those who are not on the LITCAM list and/or 7C Alliance members, are welcome to join in on networking at the first open networking night of the London IT Contractor Alliance Meetups (LITCAM) group. This will be held at a mix of the cafe and bar associated with the venue with adjournment to a local restaurant afterwards. These nights have proven extremely popular!!

How much does it cost and how do I register?
The cost of attending the talk is as follows:

– 7C Alliance members: £15
